BARCODE是一座别具地景绮想的英式时尚酒吧。
酒吧基地位于B1，一楼入口正处于建筑的转角处，设计师以建筑物本有的玻璃砖外墙作为基底，在贯穿四个楼层的立面包覆着金属编织的工业用输送网。特意将招牌置入建筑物的转角处，从90度的转折变化中，突显店名BARCODE的字汇内涵具备可拆解或衔接的双关解读。
自然.条码.飘浮的地景
设计构想以条码(barcode)作为起点，设计师希望将此一日常符号，透过更自然、前卫的意象重新注释。将平面地景脉络转化为4D模型，并让这片舞动的立体地景移植至天花板，作为全室的视觉焦点。
设计师希望，这片飘舞的立体天花板能游走在地景与条码的概念之间，反映店名具备双重意义的特质。依循4D模型订制的木作经过排序拼接，编织地景飞舞于空中的奇幻景象，若从细部观察又透露出由庞大条码符号所织构的脉络，传递将条码视为创作材料与空间语汇的设计概念。
本案在平面规划上也运用条码概念作平行切割，划设VIP包厢区、厅区、吧台区，三区各自拥有不同的地势高度，借此在通透的空间内经营鲜明的区域范畴及景深层次。
英式酒吧
BARCODE虽然以英式酒吧作定位，却希望跳脱传统英式酒吧深色木皮、古典吧台椅、墨绿色皮革等暗陈浓重的刻板形象，它企图加入更时尚、活力的个体魅力。
衔接入口与厅区的过道，运用方弧线条围塑成一座独立的过渡空间，天花板、立面、地坪均使用集层材拼贴，藉由量体造型与材质拼接产生丰富的纹理效果，将过道冗长的先天限制转化为通往神秘殿堂的接驳隧道。
全室色彩计划着重于温暖、清爽。以低调奢华为主题的VIP室，天花板、立面均由白色驼鸟皮革包覆，地坪铺设白色石材，洁净的设色与厅区温暖华丽的气息形成鲜明对比。吧台区选配金色艺术线板铺陈吧台座身与天花板，线板依循着条码间隔排序的概念作组合。厅区运用不锈钢打造有机造型包覆结构柱，光滑的树干高耸地伸展入天花板的飘浮地景中，对应出前卫与自然并蓄、传统和现代元素传承的况味。

ThebarislocatedontheB1level;itsentranceissituatedinacornerpositionwhereadominatingfa?adesignifiesitsuniquespatialinterest.Itslowerpositionrevealsanexistingglassbrickbandwhilemetalwiresweavearisingsheetwhichextendsfromthefirsttofourthlevel.Abloomingredcolorglaresoutfromthewiretoformamysticalmembranesurfacesimilartocamouflageonabunker.Thesignboardisofparticularinterest.“BARCODE”isanilluminatedobjectthatenlightensthestreetcornerandformsanimagelikeanencryptedenigma.Whilethissignboardisinafixedpositionitpresentsanintimatesignificationandpullspeoplecloser.

Nature,barcode,andfloatinglandart
DesignerKanusedthebarcodeimageasadiagramofthedesign.Heconstructeda3-Dimageusingthisblack-and-whiteiconandaddedanimaginativefactortotransfigurethisformintoamoredynamicstructure.ThisundulatingsurfaceislikeapieceofenvironmentalartextendingfarintothegroundwhichandhasbeengraftedontotheinterioroftheBarcodePub.Oscillatingrhythmsofitsunpredictablesurfacemovefromthepartitiontothetopofceiling.ThisneverendingpoweroftheextensionisoneofthemostdistinctivespatialfeaturesofthePub.
Everillusiverhythmsoftheceilingpresentanunforgettableimpression.Themanifoldbandsunmistakablysignifythenameofthepub–Barcode.Itssolidandvoidedbandsseemtopresentameditativewonderofthemanifoldchangesoflife.Likebarcodeimagessometimestheyarewhiteandsometimestheyareblack,white,wideornarrowbands.
Theceiling'barcode”onlyplaysaroleasapassiontriggeringelement.Itsvoidedinteriorhidesutilitysystemsanditssurfacegapsprovidenecessaryventsforairmovement.This“barcode”sculpturalceilingextendsfurtherintoamoreprivateVIProom.Itwrapscompletelyoverthewallpartitionsandturnsthissecludedspaceintoagrottolikespacewheregeographicalformationsilluminateafantasyofanunimaginedworld.
Thespatiallayoutevenfollowstheconceptofthe“barcode”planasitdividesinto3zones–VIP,lounge,andbarsection.Eachissituatedonaplatformatvariousheights.Thislayoutprovidesaspatialdepthwhileitconnectsavisuallinkinanunbrokensequence.TheVIProomislocatedinthehighestposition.ApathleadingtotheVIPspacecreatesaninclinespacethatprovidesacomfortablesittingzone.Thebarareaisplacedinamediumzonewhichisilluminatedbyredcoloredlightsfromthegroundandmysteriouslyeliminatesanyspecificspatialboundary.Incontrasttothespatialobscurityofthebararea,theloungehallissituatedinacentralposition.Itstandsinthelowestpositionconnectingtheactivitiesinthesurroundingspaces.

BARCODEisageniusEnglishpubbarwithoutanystereotypicalimpressionsofleatherbaronialstylechairsandotherclassicalinteriorfixtures.Itismoreactiveanddynamic.
Uponenteringintothehall,onefindsasquaredsectiontunnelleadingtowardsthemainhall.Theentireinteriorisbuiltincompressedwood.Itsmaterialityemphasizesthepath'sload-bearingcompressionandweavesanintriguingambienceasitperformsaritualprocession.
Themainspaceiscoatedwithaglareofwarmcoloredlightandtheinteriorembellishments.TheVIProomisbuiltinaluxuriousmotifwithwhitecolorostrichskinupholstery.Thefloorispavedwithwhitemarble.Thisprivatequarterdisplaysaspatialambiencedirectlycontrastingwiththatofthemainhall.ThebarareadisplaysasomewhatArt-Nouveaufashionwithgoldcolorbandscoatingthesurfaceofboththeceilingandbar.Thebaralsorevealstheiconicsignificanceofabarcodeimage;verticalstripsareseeminglypopoutofeachtable.
Themainhallhassomeorganicelementsliketrees.Their“trunks”arecladinstainlessmetals.Thereflectionsontheirsurfacesandtheillusive'barcodebands”ceilingyieldsachimericalreadingofareversedillusionthatgroundsthegeographicalprofilefloatinginthesky.Otherreflectivematerialsappearcasuallyinmanycornersandthisaddsafurtherdelusionalimpressionthatconfuseshumanperception.RealorreflectivebodiescollageintoaspacethatbuildsintothetotalofimpressionoftheBarcode.
